From turners at ieca.com Tue Dec 4 11:58:22 2007 From: turners at ieca.com (Turner, Sean P.) Date: Tue, 4 Dec 2007 11:58:22 -0800 Subject: [rfc-i] comments on draft-rfc-editor-errata-process-00 Message-ID: <002a01c836b0$071611d0$df128182@Wylie> Three comments on the draft/process: 1. Should we add a link to the errata on the http://www.ietf.org/iesg/1rfc_index.txt page? This way if somebody does download the index and do a search on it then it's pretty clear that there's errata. 2. Likewise should we add a link on the WG pages? 3. I know RFCs never change, but with errata they kind of do - so should we add a link/note in to the boilerplate either at the beginning or at the end of the RFC. I know this is operator error but I really had no idea there was errata until about 6 months ago. spt -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... During the 5 years prior to 2007 (and until the current contract was in place on April 1, 2007 [How appropriate is THAT? ;-)], the RFC Editor was funded by a sole-source contract with ISOC. This eaerlier contract was renewed several times during the period January 2002 through March 2007, with modifications to the SoW and budgets. The sole-source contract included the requirement for a final report. That report has now been delivered to the relevant IETF/ISOC leadership, and its text is online on the RFC Editor web page. RFC 821). RFC Editor
